ACADEMIC PARTNERS
University of San Francisco, School of Business and Management
In 2006, NFTE Bay Area began a relationship with the University of San Francisco, School of Business and Management, its administration, faculty and MBA students. USF MBA students participate as judges for classroom competitions and work as business plan coaches and mentors. To date, over 80 MBA students have volunteered and have chosen the Bay Area office as one of their favorite charities (second to Special Olympics) in an intercollegiate Challenge for Charity taking place among the top business schools in California. USF hosts our annual Regional Youth Business Plan Competition and Dinner (co-hosted by the USF Hospitality Management Program), summer BizCamp, NFTE University teacher trainings and our student and teacher workshops. Students from NFTE programs are able to attend university events including college admissions workshops and the university’s International Business Plan Competition. In 2008, NFTE Bay Area moved its offices into the School of Business and Management. Through our partnership with USF, we receive office space, IT and administrative support and work more closely with the faculty, graduates and undergraduates of the entire university.
